Cutting-Edge Technology to Test What Matters
You can’t manage what you don’t measure. HQPT has invested in the testing and training technology used by professional sports teams and research labs — so decisions about your body are made with data, not guesswork. Here’s what we use and why it matters for you.
Technology That Takes the Guesswork Out of Recovery
Your body can feel better before it’s truly ready. That’s why we don’t rely on pain levels, visual assessments, or a simple “how does it feel?” to guide your return. We use the same objective testing technologies trusted in elite sports to measure strength, power, movement, and readiness at every stage of recovery.
From muscle force and jump mechanics to 3D movement analysis and targeted strength training, these tools give us precise data to see where you are, where you need to improve, and when you’re truly ready to move forward.
Tindeq Dynamometry
A precision digital dynamometer that measures exactly how much force a muscle group can produce — quad, hamstring, calf, hip, even grip — in hard numbers, not a therapist’s “feels like a 4 out of 5.” Because testing takes minutes, we track your strength at every phase of rehab and catch plateaus before they cost you weeks.
VALD ForceDecks
Dual force plates that measure force output a thousand times per second while you stand, squat, jump, and land. ForceDecks quantify jump height, power, landing forces, and — critically — side-to-side asymmetries invisible to the naked eye. Trusted by professional teams worldwide, they turn “looks good” into numbers we can compare against your baseline and normative data.
Model Health 3D Motion Capture
Lab-grade movement analysis without the lab. Built on markerless motion-capture technology developed at Stanford University, Model Health turns video of you running, squatting, or landing into a full-body 3D model — measuring joint angles through every phase of movement in minutes. It’s how we analyze running gait, landing mechanics, and cutting technique objectively, and how we prove your movement is actually changing over time.
Humac Isokinetic Dynamometer
The gold standard for strength testing after knee injury — and a rarity outside of pro sports and research settings. The Humac isolates your quad and hamstrings and measures their strength at controlled speeds, producing the side-to-side symmetry data that ACL return-to-sport research is built on. If you’re coming back from an ACL reconstruction, this is the test your clearance decision deserves.
BFR — Blood Flow Restriction Training
BFR uses a regulated cuff to safely reduce blood flow to a limb while you exercise with light weights — tricking the muscle into adapting as if it were training heavy. For post-surgical patients, that’s a game changer: research shows BFR helps rebuild muscle size and strength at loads gentle enough for healing tissue, fighting the muscle loss that follows surgery from the very first weeks.

Don’t Guess. Test. Prove It.
Testing isn’t an add-on at HQPT — it’s the foundation of how we practice. We establish your baseline, train with purpose, retest your progress, and use objective data to prove you’re ready for what comes next.
