Expert Ankle Pain Physical Therapy in Beaverton, OR

Get back to running, sports, and life without limitations. Our Doctors of Physical Therapy deliver personalized 60-minute sessions to heal ankle sprains, Achilles pain, and chronic instability.

Ankle Pain Shouldn't Sideline Your Active Life

Too many people accept ankle pain as their new normal, missing out on activities they love because traditional care falls short.

Stuck in Endless 15-Minute Sessions

Insurance-driven PT means rushed appointments with aides, not doctors. You're left doing generic exercises with no real progress toward your goals.

Chronic Instability and Re-Injury

You've rolled your ankle so many times it feels weak and unreliable. Every step on uneven ground fills you with anxiety about another sprain that keeps you out of your sport.

No Clear Path Back to Performance

You're told to rest and ice, but no one addresses the root cause. Months later, you're still avoiding running, jumping, or the activities that make you feel alive.

Why Beaverton Athletes Choose Our Ankle Pain Physical Therapy

At Headquarters Physical Therapy, we don't just treat symptoms—we identify and fix the biomechanical issues causing your ankle pain. Our cash-based model means no insurance limitations, just 60 minutes of undivided attention from a Doctor of Physical Therapy every single session.

  • Cutting-edge assessment technology including VALD force plates and Tindeq dynamometer testing to pinpoint strength deficits and asymmetries
  • Evidence-based manual therapy, joint mobilization, and neuromuscular re-education to restore full ankle mobility and stability
  • Direct 24-hour access to your PT via text and email with unlimited program updates as you progress toward return-to-sport

I was told by two very well respected orthopedic surgeons that my knee was bone on bone, and I needed both my knees replaced. A buddy of mine told me to try PT with the HQPT. I went into my first session with Jonah knowing that my days with my natural knees were almost over. I was wrong! After the first PT session I was encouraged and knew I might not need surgery after all. It has now been 7 months of PT twice a week with Jonah, and I am amazed that at 68 my legs are stronger than they have been for many many years.

Common Questions About Our Care

Everything you need to know before your first visit

  • We operate on a cash-based, out-of-network model that allows us to provide superior care without insurance limitations. This means 60-minute one-on-one sessions with a Doctor of Physical Therapy every visit—no aides, no techs, no rushing. While we don't bill insurance directly, we provide superbills you can submit for potential reimbursement. Many patients find they spend less overall due to fewer visits and better outcomes.

  • Every session is a full 60 minutes of one-on-one time with your Doctor of Physical Therapy. This is significantly longer than typical insurance-based clinics where you might get 15-20 minutes of actual PT time. Our extended sessions allow for thorough manual therapy, comprehensive exercise instruction, and real-time adjustments to your program.

  • We treat the full spectrum of ankle and lower extremity conditions including Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, chronic ankle instability, shin splints, calf strains, and post-surgical rehabilitation. We also address related issues like IT band syndrome, runner's knee, hip pain, and biomechanical problems throughout the kinetic chain that contribute to ankle pain.

  • We offer true one-on-one care with Doctors of Physical Therapy for the entire 60-minute session. You'll have direct access to your PT via text and email with 24-hour response times. We use cutting-edge technology like VALD force plates and Tindeq dynamometer testing for objective measurements. Our evidence-based approach is trusted by NFL athletes, and our cash-based model means your treatment plan is based on what you need—not what insurance approves.

  • Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows us to assess your movement—shorts and a t-shirt work well. Bring any relevant imaging (X-rays, MRI reports), a list of current medications, and athletic shoes if you're a runner or athlete. Most importantly, come prepared to discuss your goals, whether that's returning to your sport, hiking without pain, or simply walking without instability.

  • Call us at (503) 610-9281 or visit www.headquarterspt.com to request an appointment. Our team will match you with the Doctor of Physical Therapy whose expertise best aligns with your condition and goals. We're open Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM, and conveniently located near Cedar Hills Shopping Center in Beaverton.
